Tornado In Elmira

You may have heard recently on the national news about a tornado in a a small upstate New York town named Elmira.

I live fairly close to the area, and I got hit with the storm as well. The storm wasn't bad here, so I was skeptical to believe that there was a tornado. I figured everyone was overreacting. It appears that there has been a tornado.

This is strange since Elmira is located in a valley. Last year we were hit with a tornado like storm also.

I have no pictures because I haven't visited the town but here are some pictures I have taken off from Twitter of people I follow from Elmira.

*Updated* I went into the city and added some picture I took. It was a lot less damage than I did expect. Here are some pictures including a nyseg truck, police car, and some trees down.

A section closed off. Look closely, this was probably the biggest tree I saw down.

The Dark Knight Rises

Last night after several long days of waiting, I finally went and saw "The Dark Knight Rises". I wasn't really entirely sure if they actually would make a third movie after watching "The Dark Knight".

I'm really uncertain about a fourth movie. Christopher Nolan, the director, has said this is his last movie with Batman, however the end of the movie was very open ended. (There I won't say any more about what happens for those of you who haven't seen it)

"The Dark Knight", the second movie in the trilogy, is definitely still my favorite out of the three.

"The Dark Knight Rises" was an excellent movie, and to be quite honest, I have no complaints. It reminded me of the first movie in the series "Batman Begins" quite a lot.

There were some complaints about the first trailer for the movie, that it was very hard to hear the villain "Bane" because the mask muffled his voice.

There were several rumours of them changing the voice before the movie released. I have seen all the commercials, and his voice did seem very much different in the movie than in the commercials. It was definitely more "Darth Vader-ish"

All in all, it was a great movie, and definitely worth your time and money to go see.

Rest in peace to the Aurora victims who died, and to those still healing, I hope you heal soon!

Welcome To My Second Blog!

Hello and welcome to my second blog! I created this blog because there have been times where I wanted to blog about things other than sports, but I didn't have a second blog. This is where I will put those things.

There is no basic theme to it, it's just really anything that I would like to write about that goes on in my life other than sports, or anything I feel like I want to write about!
